A loyal member of the CJBS team, Chris has been with the firm since 2008. He was hired as a staff accountant, and shortly after earning his CPA designation, proceeded to work his way up through the ranks. Chris served as a senior, a manager, and a senior manager, before stepping into his current role as director. Working in the Tax Department, Chris offers services to clients in the real estate, professional service, dental and medical offices, and manufacturing and distribution industries. He specializes in accounting and tax for multiple facets of the real estate industry.
Chris is a proactive and outgoing professional who believes in always looking out for his clients. He works hard to plan and execute services efficiently, in a way that matches a client’s structure with their long-term goals. Chris was inspired to pursue a career in accounting by his father, also a CPA, and by an introductory accounting professor who took the time to recommend the field to him, specifically. His ability to explain tax law and code in everyday terms and make clear to clients how it will affect them has been a major factor in his career success.
Raised with his two sisters in Elk Grove, Illinois, Chris currently resides in Inverness with his wife, two daughters, and their dog, a black Labrador mix. In his free time, Chris enjoys a variety of sports, including golf, basketball, and snowboarding. He also likes to spend time outside and follow MSU athletics.
