Chuck is a Director in the CJBS Tax Department. His practice includes a variety of tax work: he represents clients before the IRS for tax audits and other issues; he provides answers and solutions to complex tax issues for clients and co-workers alike; he trains new staff and reviews tax returns for accuracy. His clients include small- to mid-size businesses, family businesses, professional firms, service providers, medical firms, executive placement, real estate developers, restaurant chains, quick printers, landscapers, custom auto interiors, and more. A professional in the field since 1978, Chuck brought with him extensive accounting and tax work experience when he joined CJBS in 2015.
A helpful and knowledgeable professional, Chuck knows that the key to his job is listening to his clients and being proactive. His ability to find solutions in complex situations has led to his success in the tax and accounting fields. He helps businesses streamline their accounting systems to increase efficiency. He consults with owners on their financial results to help them identify key indicators of the health of their business.
Raised in Evanston, Illinois, Chuck currently resides in a northern suburb with his wife, Joy. They like sailing out of Belmont Harbor and are members of the Chicago Yacht Club. They enjoy scuba diving and have travelled to many salt water locales and the Great Lakes.
Favorite book: Chuck enjoys true-life adventure books (most -recently Ship of Gold in the Deep Blue Sea by Gary Kinder).
Secret talent: Chuck was once part of a venture searching for shipwrecks in Lake Michigan.
