Peggy Cairo, CPA

History of Expertise
A key member of the CJBS team since 1993, Peggy brings her dedication, expertise and enthusiasm to her job everyday as she assists the firm in several key areas. She is involved in auditing and accounting, and strives to provide clients with a well-rounded accounting experience. Peggy concentrates on auditing not-for-profit organizations and individual tax return preparation, which she has been doing for more then 25 years. Peggy also provides a variety of services to small businesses, including financial planning and tax return preparation. In addition, Peggy spent two years in her own entrepreneurial venture, designing and installing closets, and selling organizational containers.

Educational Background
Peggy received her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Michigan State University in 1975. She has continued her educational process through the Illinois CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Personal Interests
When Peggy is not in the office, she spends time with her growing family, which now includes seven grandchildren. She is an avid golfer and is currently serving as the Vice-President of the Sunset Valley Women’s Golf League. Peggy also enjoys traveling the world looking for new pieces to incorporate into her newest hobby, making beaded jewelry for friends and family.
