Andrew R. Lotts, CPA

History of Expertise
Andrew joined CJBS in 1994 and became a partner in 2002. Prior to joining CJBS in 1994, Andrew worked for a large, downtown Chicago public auditing firm for two years. Currently, he heads our Audit Department and is responsible for conducting audits for clients including not-for-profit organizations, retail and wholesale clients, manufacturers and professional groups. In addition, he audits employee benefit plans including 401(k), pension, profit sharing, and health and welfare plans. He conducts all Sarbanes Oxley engagements for clients subject to requirements under this law. Andrew is also involved in other essential areas such as preparing detailed backup support for negotiations, forensic accounting, compliance audits, as well as internal control audits.

Educational Background
Andrew received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting from the University of Iowa in 1991. He went on to receive his CPA from the University of Illinois in 1994.

Professional Affiliations
Andrew is a member and officer of the Gurnee Jaycees and is an active member of the Deerfield-Bannockburn-Riverwoods Chamber of Commerce. In addition, he serves as the co-chair for the firm’s Continuing Education Credits program. Andrew is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. In addition, he is an active alumnus of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

Personal Interests
Andrew is a fishing junkie. He often spends time looking for the "big one" on Wisconsin’s Green Lake and sketching nature scenes. He is married with three children and a black labrador.
