Irwin A. Magad, EA, ATA

History of Expertise
Irwin joined Louis A. Bloom & Associates in 1963 and in 1972 became a partner in Bloom, Bloom & Magad Ltd. (BBM). In January 2006, BBM merged with CJBS. Irwin specializes in restaurant accounting, income tax preparation and Internal Revenue Service and State of Illinois audits. He frequently is engaged by tax attorneys to handle I.R.S. audits and to consult on various tax issues. Irwin’s clients feel that, “when Irwin is your accountant he becomes part of your company."

Educational Background

Irwin received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy from Walton College in 1969. In 1970 he was enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service (E.A.). In 1982 he was accredited in Accounting and Taxes through the National Association of Public Accountants.

Professional Affiliations

Irwin is an active Rotarian and has held both board and officer positions in the Wilmette Harbor Rotary Club. He holds professional membership in the Independent Accountants Association of Illinois and served as chapter president and as secretary of the state Organization.

Personal Interests


Irwin is a chartered member of the Die Hard Cubs Fan Club, loves golf and is very active with his seven beautiful grandchildren.
